Setting Up

Before doing any work for the challenge we were about to start, I helped assist Tony V. with setting up the Linux Lab for all of us. I assisted in the installation of Mint, Kali, and Ubuntu on over ten machines and worked through troubleshooting errors throughout the installations.

Review

So far, we have mostly been working on both TryHackMe and NICE Challenges. With TryHackMe, I have been focusing on the Complete Beginner Path, and will start the SOC Level 1 pathway soon. With the NICE Challenges, I have been working on managing users in Linux, configuring various flavors of Linux such as CentOS, Ubuntu Server, etc., as well as fixing vulnerabilities in based on a scan report found in Windows.

Conclusion

Overall, I look forward to continuing my preparation before I travel with twenty-nine of my other classmates and compete against other students in counties surrounding us.
